of Tarot and Astrology: Etteilla�s
Correspondences and Divinatory Method
ABSTRACT (SYNOPSIS)

The first known systematic integration of Tarot and astrology and its practical application to divination is documented, summarized, and placed in historical context.  Introduced by French occultist Etteilla in 1785, this integration includes the first known set of correspondences between astrology and Tarot and astrology-based spread.  The article details an application of Etteilla�s method to a real-life consultation, which suggests its potential practicability and value to contemporary Tarotists.  Included are guidelines for application of the method.
